I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil. It all started when my parents showed me my very first animated film, An American Tail. I instantly began drawing stick figure mice, and moved on to other, more complicated things from there.
I very much enjoy drawing cartoons, especially animals. I enjoy working in a variety of mediums including pencil, paint, pen, and with computer software such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, and Flash.
I graduated with a BFA as an Illustration major at Laguna College of Art and Design in May of 2008. I am currently employed at Meteor Games as a 2D artist, doing art for a variety of web-based games.
When not doing art, I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my dog (a Pomeranian named Sambu), and listening to a wide variety of music.
I'm also a very big fan of science fiction, in both film and literature and it tends to inspire my art. Some of my favorite science fiction titles include Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Jurassic Park (book and film), The Fifth Element, Firefly, the Dune novels, and the writings of Douglas Adams.
My other interests include animated films (particularly classic Disney and Don Bluth), oceanography, paleontology, evolutionary biology, critical reasoning, video games, and comic books.
